zOGI: version increments

When I do putObject, the version number increases by a gap of four.  When
I save an object through the webUI the version increases by 1.  There is
no other editing going on to explain the gap of 4.  Is this discrepancy to
be expected?

Updating each subordinate object (phone(?), address) bumps the version
of the parent.  This is normal.
