Hello,
I recently downloaded xine-lib-1.1.12. The "./configure" ran correctly
but when I run "make install" the process will freeze on the "cat"
command. Checking the process tree (ptree) show a cascade of bash
shells calling "make install" with the 4th level calling the "cat"
command.
Here is what it looks like from the command line
seahorse:/xine/xine-lib-1.1.12> make install
Making install in doc
Making install in man
Making install in en
(echo '.ds xl xine\-list\-1.1'; cat ) >xine-list-1.1.1
I am running the processes as root on a Sun V240 running Solaris 10
update 4. I have the GNU compilers and various libraries installed.
ptree output
seahorse:/xine/xine-lib-1.1.12> ptree 1628

Any help is appreciated.
