wpa_supplicant problem: "Unsupported driver 'wired'"

Hello list,

i have a problem to get wpa_supplicant working together with a wired 802.1X authentication.

The output of the command "wpa_supplicant" gives that there is only the madwifi driver included (this is not shown here).

A short proof with the following command:
# wpa_supplicant -w -D wired - i eth0 -c /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf -dd

gives the expected result of "Unsupported driver 'wired'" (This was tested with Thinstation 1.4 and Thinstation 2.2 with wpa_supplicant version 0.4.8.)

Is there already a version with the wired driver included? If not, what is the recommended procedure to build the Thinstation wpa_supplicant package with the wired driver included?

Thanks in advance,
Bernd Stein
