hi,

Due to the change of package name in new spring security 2.0. some of the class is not working. (e.g. org.acegisecurity.providers.encoding.PasswordEncoder).

Is that any plan for migrate to new spring security 2.0?

Hi,

I would be interested in this as well. I have just migrated my project to Spring Security 2.0 but Jasypt's PasswordEncoder is giving me grief due to the changed package names in Spring Security 2.0. What is the road map for a new Jasypt version that addresses that issue?

Thanks a lot and keep up the good work!

Regards,

Gunnar

Yes. Integration with Spring Security 2.0 will be added into version 1.5 of Jasypt.

Expect it in a couple of weeks.

Regards,
Daniel.

I have uploaded to the CVS a 1.5-dev version (unstable) which contains
new org.jasypt.spring.security2.PasswordEncoder and PBEPasswordEncoder
classes. These should work fine with Spring Security 2.x.

I would be interested in hearing some feedback about it from anyone
having this need, and, if you consider it enough for your needs, I will
publish it as Jasypt 1.5 (stable) this week.

To create a jar, if you have Maven 2.x, all you have to do is checkout
the sources and do a "mvn compile package".

Thank you,
Daniel.

P.S.- This 1.5-dev version has also turned the ICU4j dependency into
non-required (if you are using Java 6), and solved some minor code smells.
