Hi,
I run a rhel5 U2 server with samba 3.0.28-1
Each time i start winbind the process stops after a few seconds:
[root@amsdev-dv09 ~]# service winbind start
Starting Winbind services: [ OK ]
[root@amsdev-dv09 ~]# service winbind status
winbindd dead but pid file exists
[root@amsdev-dv09 ~]# rm -f /var/lock/subsys/winbindd
[root@amsdev-dv09 ~]# rm -f /var/run/winbindd.pid
[root@amsdev-dv09 ~]# service winbind start
Starting Winbind services: [ OK ]
[root@amsdev-dv09 ~]# service winbind status
winbindd dead but pid file exists
The RHEL system is up-to-date.
Any info?
