dear support,

i image a simples scenario as below,
1) a consumer send http request to ESB
2) ESB forward the request to a external http service provider
that is to say ESB receives a message and then send it out.

i wonder what it the simplest configuration in ESB.
only http BC is enough for this scenario? or it need both BC and SE?

many thanks

Hi Shawn,

You can do this by connecting to BC service units. No need for a SE.
See this example: http://enterprise.netbeans.org/soa/compapp/casa/tutorials/bcbc/index.html

Shawn,

Your scenario is certainly one of the simplest that one can imagine for an ESB.

This can be accomplished using one BC (or two if different protocols are needed). If the message needs to be altered in some fashion, or some kind of routing logic is needed to determine which external service provider to use, you will need to use an SE as well.
