what is the use rmiport 1099??

hi all,

by defalutl in cruisecontrol.bat or cruisecontrol.sh rmi port is configured to 1099..
what is the need of the rmi port 1099..can any one explain me how the cc is using the rmi port..

I am new to unix environment and should work on cc on unix environment..
so here i should request adminstrators for configuring the ports..

Any suggestions are valuable..
