Hi to everyone from a newbie.
I was currently using 0.8.2 version of Tomboy that came with Fedora (8)
and was pretty excited when the new release came with the "Notebooks"
feature. I've been waiting since for this release to appear in the
repository but after 20 days and no package, decided to install it
manually. So here is my problem:
===============================
[sururi@localhost tomboy-0.10.0]$ sudo ./configure
(...)
checking for gmcs... /usr/bin/gmcs
checking for LIBTOMBOY... yes
checking for GTKSPELL... no
checking for DBUS... configure: error: Package requirements
(ndesk-dbus-1.0 >= 0.4 ndesk-dbus-glib-1.0 >= 0.3) were not met:
No package 'ndesk-dbus-1.0' found
No package 'ndesk-dbus-glib-1.0' found
Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you
installed software in a non-standard prefix.
Alternatively, you may set the environment variables DBUS_CFLAGS
and DBUS_LIBS to avoid the need to call pkg-config.
See the pkg-config man page for more details.
[sururi@localhost tomboy-0.10.0]$ locate ndesk-dbus
/usr/lib/mono/ndesk-dbus-1.0
/usr/lib/mono/ndesk-dbus-glib-1.0
/usr/lib/mono/ndesk-dbus-1.0/NDesk.DBus.dll
/usr/lib/mono/ndesk-dbus-glib-1.0/NDesk.DBus.GLib.dll
/usr/share/doc/ndesk-dbus-glib-0.4.1
/usr/share/doc/ndesk-dbus-glib-0.4.1/COPYING
===============================
So I can see that the solution resides within the problem where the
install script kindly tells me what to do. But, being a newbie, I can
not understand how to do what it suggests. So, please either help me on
how to install or make this version appear in the Fedora repository... 8)
With many thanks in advance,
Sururi.
