I had an old Ubuntu installation running lirc 0.8.0 talking to a serial transmitter sending IR to a General Instruments (I think DCT2244).  I upgraded the OS to the latest stable Ubuntu (linux kernel 2.6.24-19) with lirc 0.8.3~pre1-0ub and it doesn't work anymore.  When I run irsend the IR transmitter's LED does blink, but the General Instruments box doesn't recognize it anymore.

I noticed that the lircd.conf that I have (which found on the net a while back) has a bunch of raw codes.  Did the encoding of raw codes change?  I tried several of the other lircd.conf files around to no avail.

thanks,
-Cliff
