tracker, item linkHello All,
I am still struggling with trackers :} & their data. What I want to do is have 3 separate tracker pages but to carry, for example a userid, data entered in the first tracker into the next 2. I have used item link but that gives me a drop down menu, the documentation is a little fuzzy to me. To have different trackers connected you need to have in both tracker a field that can take the same value. TO do that, we usually use the login of the user who creates the item: a user selector field As soon as we have a common field, the display of the 2 items can be merged Note that if you are a tracker admin, you will see the drop down of all the users with your user pre-selelected - because an admin can change whatever information he wants Otherwise, the common field can be whatever other information. IN this case the second tracker will have a field item link and it will be a drop down list. Re: tracker, item linkYes, Tricia, you can do that. Play with tracker field option ("viewable
by", "editable by", etc.). We have that type of setup up & running live in http://intercanvis.net Cheers Xavi En/na p campbell ha escrit: > I want the field to identify the user, not to be a selectable drop down, > is that possible ?? > Sylvie Greverend wrote: > >> On Mon, 2008-09-29 at 14:01 -0400, p campbell wrote: >> >> >>> Hello All, >>> I am still struggling with trackers :} & their data.
