This is a curious toy (well, not cheap...):

I have seen it used a bit... looks fun and Toshio iwai is a great artist but I think the Monome looks more interesting
for the an SC user.... 

Daniel Jones uses one for live stuff with SC.


You could probably program a Monome to be a Tenori-on.

On the other hand Monome is just a usb controller but Tenori-on can hold samples and be used
as a stand alone music machine with all the functionality built in.

Unfortunately can't afford afford either to do a proper test though.
