stock items and locations

When I create a new stock item Inventory->Stock List->New Stock Item or Edit Stock Item, I do not get the supplier tab?  I do not get the Inventory tab?  And under pricing tab all I get is Sales Category selection box?  In the doc it shows much more, I may be missing something, I have not found a way to add a selling price to a stock item yet?


In edit Location when I try to select This location is a work center: and save I get an error (Missing required information) and I am not able to tell what it is?  I do not know if I need this enabled or not, in the doc, it says that a work center is a place that does something (sell products).

When you create a New Stock Item, you only have the Details tab, until  
you save it.
For a supplier tab you need suppliers, permission to suppliers, and  
Stock Type must be Raw.  Make sure Pseudo is not checked.
For an inventory tab, Pseudo must not be checked, and you must have  
Read permission on 'inventory'.

Can you point me to the particular place in the doc?  That needs to be  
changed.
Work centers are locations where [part of] manufacturing takes place.
You can "sell products" from any location, and ship them out from any  
location with an address.

When you create a New Stock Item, you only have the Details tab, until you save it.

Raw gave me the suppliers tab.

  Make sure Pseudo is not checked.

Pseudo is always checked, when I uncheck and save it comes back checked.

For an inventory tab, Pseudo must not be checked, and you must have Read permission on 'inventory'.

I got the inventory tab after, selecting Stock Type (Raw), ->Save and ->uncheck Pseudo, ->Save
