rips fine wont burnwent through the tutorials for set up and aligned the program
accordingly, but can't seem to get it to burn. I'm mainly interested in burning copies for my car player, which destroys them rapidly. Compression mode is set to flac for high quality, but do I need to switch to MP3 to burn? I don't want a loss in quality. Also, will my Roxio burner interfere with EAC, and if so, should I delete it? Thanks. |

There is no reason to compress - lossy or lossless - if you are only making a copy. Simply use EAC's own duplicate facility using WAV, then throw them away when your copy is done. There has been no conflict between EAC and Roxio in its many versions. Mike -- mrichter@... http://www.mrichter.com/ |

It is software written to the lowest common denominator in computer literacy. Worse, it interferes with other programs. I have personally experienced compatibility problems between Roxio and CDRWin, and between Roxio and Alcohol 120%. Indeed, a couple years ago, I got a new Dell computer that shipped with Roxio. I forgot to remove the Roxio software, and installed Alcohol 120% (my favorite data CD and DVD burning software, and of course I use EAC for audio CD's). After doing so, I could no longer boot the computer. After booting in safe mode and removing the Roxio software, the computer has worked well ever since. I HIGHLY recommend that you get rid of the Roxio software! For data, I use CDImageGUI.exe (Google it) to create ISO's, and burn them with Alcohol 120%. Nero also works quite well, and I'm sure there are others that work well also. For audio, it's EAC all the way, so long as it's compatible with your burner. If you can't get EAC to burn, perhaps your burner is incompatible. Try Nero. If your car player "destroys them rapidly", then maybe there is something wrong with your car player? Perhaps you should consider repairing or replacing it. |
