Hi all,

Here's a preliminary alpha release of qutecsound for Intel Macs. It's already working sort of OK on linux, but has a couple of problems (particularly the menus disappear after running csound...). So please test and let me know what you think/if it works... (particularly if you know how to fix the menu thing...). It requires csound for intel to be installed.
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=227265&package_id=284672

For linux or windows you can build from svn. I haven't tested on windows at all, so please let me know if you try it.
http://sourceforge.net/svn/?group_id=227265

Cheers,
Andrés

Hi Andres -

I downloaded it. It came as "qutecsound.app". I copied it in the
Application folder, but can't launch it. Anything more to do?

Best -

Thanks for trying joachim,

I just realized the package breaks (symlinks are discarded) when zipping it, I'll have to tar.gz it... I'll try again next week when I'm at a Mac.
I found this which should solve the problem:

Hi Peiman,

Thanks for trying... Can you open the console and post what appears there when you run qutecsound? (The console is in the folder Utilities inside Applications).

Thanks,
Andrés

Yes sure. So I cd to "/applications/qutecsound-15.app/contents/macos" and type "./qutecsound". This is what I get:

dyld: Library not loaded: QtXml.framework/Versions/4/QtXml
  Referenced from: /Applications/qutecsound-15.app/Contents/MacOS/./qutecsound
  Reason: image not found
Trace/BPT trap

When I type "open qutecsound" I get the same error:

peiman-khosravis-computer:/Applications/qutecsound-15.app/Contents/MacOS peimankhosravi$ /Applications/qutecsound-15.app/Contents/MacOS/qutecsound; exit
dyld: Library not loaded: QtXml.framework/Versions/4/QtXml
  Referenced from: /Applications/qutecsound-15.app/Contents/MacOS/qutecsound
  Reason: image not found
Trace/BPT trap
logout
[Process exited - exit code 133]

Hope that helps
Peiman

OK, this should do it (I tested it this time...). Here's the first actual alpha release of qutecsound.
Let me know what you think, and please let me know if you know how to fix the disappearing menus...

Cheers,
Andrés

Thanks, that gives me a lead. I'll try to fix it when I'm back at a Mac...

Thanks!

Yes sure. So I cd to "/applications/qutecsound-15.app/contents/macos" and type "./qutecsound". This is what I get:

dyld: Library not loaded: QtXml.framework/Versions/4/QtXml
  Referenced from: /Applications/qutecsound-15.app/Contents/MacOS/./qutecsound
  Reason: image not found
Trace/BPT trap

When I type "open qutecsound" I get the same error:

peiman-khosravis-computer:/Applications/qutecsound-15.app/Contents/MacOS peimankhosravi$ /Applications/qutecsound-15.app/Contents/MacOS/qutecsound; exit
dyld: Library not loaded: QtXml.framework/Versions/4/QtXml
  Referenced from: /Applications/qutecsound-15.app/Contents/MacOS/qutecsound
  Reason: image not found
Trace/BPT trap
logout
[Process exited - exit code 133]

Hope that helps
Peiman

Hi Peiman,

Thanks for trying... Can you open the console and post what appears there when you run qutecsound? (The console is in the folder Utilities inside Applications).

Thanks,
Andrés

Hi Andres,

I can't wait to try this. But I'm still unable to launch the application on intel mac, os x 10.4.11.

Thanks for trying joachim,

I just realized the package breaks (symlinks are discarded) when zipping it, I'll have to tar.gz it... I'll try again next week when I'm at a Mac.
I found this which should solve the problem:

Hi Andres -

I downloaded it. It came as "qutecsound.app". I copied it in the
Application folder, but can't launch it. Anything more to do?

Best -
