Hello, I have a question:

1) How can I link different human questions with always the same
of my AIML-files?

2) Does there exist somewhere a Pandorabot - Wiki?

In adwance - thank you very much.

I don't think so.

But there are a lot of help files spread here and there throughout the
pandorabots.com and alicebot.org sites.

Or you could just purchase Dr. Richard's books.

Re: questions about very large AIML KBs.

There is the 'superbot' AIML data base on the Alice website.  It has
responses to the 10,000 most commonly asked questions.  A true world
knowledge base in AIML many not exist yet; though several universities
are working on it.   To be truly comprehensive it will need millions of
entries.
With very large databases there is a problem with granularity, how much
detail is correct for a given subject?  The AI gets confused.  I think I
heard a group is working to convert the Wikipedia to AIML.   Progress is
being made on other fronts as well.   A number of independent
programmers are creating utilities to convert text FAQ and Q&A scripts
to AIML in an automated batch fashion. I believe there is even a web
crawler to AIML search utility in development.  This will be really cool
as the AI will learn new facts every time a novel question is asked.
Several of these already exist, but you have to pay for the software.
Comments & enhancements welcome.   Sorry I do not recall specific
products.

Be careful making two Pandorabots talk to each other.  You can use up
all the system resources very easily.

A bot responds to each sentence separately, but may respond with more than one sentence.

Consider the following:
Bot_1: Let's change the topic.
Bot_2: OK what do you want to chat about now?.
Bot_1: Oh. I like to talk about computers and movies. What would you like to talk about?
Bot_2: Yay. Sure, computers and movies sounds like a good topic. Let's talk about chat robots. Do you have one yet?
Bot_1: I'm glad your impressed, . Dude! What do you like about computers? Sure, chat robots sounds like a good topic. " Sure, chat robots sounds like a good topic."? Do I have one?
Bo! t_2: I'm glad you're glad . I'm happiest at times like this. Can I help you? Their logical perfection and complexity. " Their logical perfection and complexity."? Sure, chat robots sounds like a good topic.? Talking is my primary function. Gosh! Talking is my primary function. You said you have .
Bot_1: Yes it is about time. Why are you happiest at times like this. No thanks I'm just browsing. I heard they have a good logical perfection and complexity. I heard they have a good logical perfection and complexity. Dude! Talking is my primary function. How many primary function do you have? Cripes: Son of Gosh. How do you like Talking? Yes I try to have as often as possible, do you?
I spend all my time online.
Bot_2: Alright then. Wow it sounds really interesting, . Dr. Richard S. Walla! ce programmed me for it. NO Only just? Take your time. Thanks for tell ing me that gossip. I will remember it. Thanks for telling me that gossip. I will remember it. Can I help you? How do you like Talking? Around 1000. What you said was either too complex or too simple for me. Yes talking to people is my primary function. Give me a break. No I do not try to have as often as possible. Do you? I am always on the Web. I'm not sure if I would like to try it. What's it like?

In each case where a bot answered with more than one sentence, the other bot replied as if each was a separate statement and in return formulated one or more sentences in reply. By the end of the 4th exchange, we'd gone from one sentence per utterance to 10. By the 5th exchange, there were 20.

Even if the interpreter doesn't run into buffer overflow issues, eventually the two bots would consume all system resources sending huge amounts of text back and forth. Every time one answered a single sentence with more than one, the length of each utterance would g! row for all future turns.

You really would not need to convert Wiki to AIML. You could just create
a bit of software that would return the first paragraph or so of each
entry and then ask if the user wanted to know more.

There are many text-based encyclopedias.

A knowledge of current events such as weather and sports would be nice
too.

Yes a simple utility could pause after each paragraph break; the hard
part is the search utility finding the best context fit to the question.
Last year a new product called "Biomes" (check spelling) is a
programmable search agent with several filtering capabilities, such as
sources the user considers reliable.  Initial release was AIM
compatible.
I believe it tries to produce plain English results, or web links,
depending on your configuration.   Ask.com is also working on plain
English responses to questions.   The distinctions between search
engine, expert system, and chatbot will soon begin to blur.   Commercial
interest in chatbots is increasing.   Good context mapping will require
human intervention for now. So at a minimum, an AIML or other hybrid KB
matrix will be required for a world knowledge base.
