question about PCEP FSM: OpenWait stateDears, We participate in a project called CARRIOCAS (www.carriocas.org).
We take part in a group responsible for the Formal
Model of PCEP One of our questions consists in identify scenarios
that exemplify the following cases: CASE 1 : CASE 2: For instance, if we receive the OPEN message with
parameters "KeepAlive =0" and "DeadTimer > 0" could it
be considered an example for CASE 1? We're looking forward to hearing from you, Regards, Elisangela. ============== Elisangela Vieira phone: +33 (0) 1 69 08 91 33 Bat 451, p. 6A _______________________________________________ Pce mailing list Pce@... https://www.ietf.org/mailman/listinfo/pce |

Re: question about PCEP FSM: OpenWait stateHi Elisangela,
"Unacceptable" means "values that the receiver is not willing to use on the session." It does not mean "illegal" or "invalid." We take part in a group responsible for the Formal Model of PCEP as well as the test of PCEP implementations. Our strategy is the automatic generation of test cases based on the formal model. One of our questions consists in identify scenarios that exemplify the following cases: CASE 1 : OpenWait State. The PCEP receives an OPEN message, without errors but "the session characteristics are unacceptable and NON negotiable" CASE 2: OpenWait State. The PCEP receives an OPEN message, without errors but "the session characteristics are unacceptable BUT negotiable" ? For instance, if we receive the OPEN message with parameters "KeepAlive =0" and "DeadTimer > 0" could it be considered an example for CASE 1?
