greetings -

it looks like there are a few people on this list using portaudio
with the iaxclient library. i've followed the instructions for
installing portaudio on osx (10.4.10, http://www.portaudio.com/trac/
wiki/TutorialDir/Compile/MacintoshCoreAudio).

i ran ./configure --disable-mac-universal && make

but still when i try to configure iaxclient, i get the error

checking pkg-config is at least version 0.9.0... yes
checking for wish... /usr/bin/wish
checking for iLBC reference sources in lib/iLBC... no
checking for PORTAUDIO... no
configure: error:
portaudio is required to build this package!
please see http://www.portaudio.com/ for how to
    obtain a copy.

is it at all possible that portaudio is installing in the wrong place?
fyi, i'm using v19 trunk.

thanks for any advice or recommendations,

jeremy

Perhaps iaxcliant requires you to run

make install

just running configure and make won't install the libraries.
