If anyone is interested, I cooked up a spec file for the pdf_viewer
plugin so you can roll an rpm easily. I use opensuse, so the specfile
is tailored to that distro, but I included the original spec file on
which I based the new one so you can see the changes I made. You're
on your own for coming up with the actual pdf_viewer source code
tarball. This spec file looks for pdf_viewer-0.9.tar.gz in /(your
rpm _topdir)/SOURCES/ directory.
For the rpm novice, put the file named
claws-mail-extra-plugins-pdf_viewer.spec from this tarball in /(your
rpm _topdir)/SPECS/ directory. From a shell, cd to that directory and
run "rpmbuild -bb claws-mail-extra-plugins-pdf_viewer.spec" and it
will build you some rpms to install. You will most likely need to
perform these steps as root.
If you aren't sure what your rpm _topdir value is, type this from a
shell prompt: rpm --showrc | egrep '[[:space:]]_topdir[[:space:]]'
