Couldn't fetch URL http://packages.debian.org/changelogs/pool/main///_/changelog

But now I think it is a packages.debian.org bug, there is a metapackage for this ?

I get a similar result as you. Sorry for the noise. Maybe lenny is not
too far of from sid...

Similarly for unstable's

while lenny's
LANG=C aptitude changelog vim=1:7.1-266+1
works.

Maybe you could use [1] instead.

  If aptitude knows the version number, it can guess the changelog URL
even if it can't find the package in its database; that may be what's
happening.
