why should that not be possible? You can use and event you like with CPAINT: <script type="text/javascript"> function myFunc() { cp.call(.....); } </script> <select ... onChange="myFunc()"> </select> Take your time and have a look at the smiley generator example - its pretty full of event-triggered CPAINT action.
