would it be possible to interface programd with a stock eggdrop irc bot?
perhaps with an eggdrop tcl file as the intermediary?

the default irc listener works, but only for /msg text. this would allow
  programd to chat openly in the room (as well as adding some useful
commands).

There should be an eggdrop called alice.tcl. I believe this one is designed
to interface Program D with an IRC application.

there is, and it's absolutely atrocious. it only works with hippie,
programe, or an -old- version of programd, continually misfires, doesn't
pass along variables like user's names, etc...

that's why i was hoping for a better solution.
