Hi, the very same error comes with another product (Longshine 8131G3), since I've switched to the latest gentoo kernel 2.6.23-gentoo-r3. Unplugging and replugging again doesn't seem to help. Here are the corresponding dmesg lines: zd1211rw 1-10.2:1.0: eth2 zd1211rw 1-10.2:1.0: firmware version 4725 zd1211rw 1-10.2:1.0: zd1211b chip 1582:6003 v4810 high 00-11-f6 AL2230_RF pa0 ---NS zd1211rw 1-10.2:1.0: error ioread32(CR_REG1): -110 If there's anything, I can post to help resolving the problem, please tell me. Re: my chip usrobotics 805423 does not run in mandriva 2008.0 why?Hi,
the device has been tested with gentoo-sources 2.6.23-gentoo-r3. That's what I forgot to mention in my first post on this issue. To go forward, we really need you to try the patch on the bug (preferably modified with your own MAC addr) and see what happens then. Would also be useful to test this on other systems, or test other ZD1211 devices on the same system, if you have such hardware access. Re: some debugging outputHi,
tried the patch, but the problem remains, although I didn't know what you want me to do regarding the MAC addr. > (preferably modified with your own MAC addr). Btw., the patch command I used was patch -p0 < patchfile. I mention this, because I'm not too familiar with the patch and diff commands. I'll put the debug info into the next mail, because I forgot to save it to disk this time.
