multiple backup schedulesHi,
Is it possible to have multiple backup schedules? For example, one runs daily for in-house artifact repository and another one runs monthly for remote repository. Alex |

Re: multiple backup schedulesHi Alex,
For the moment this is not supported. BTW, the backup takes a snapshot of not only repositories, but the whole system including security and other settings (minus excluded repositories, of course). The upcoming beta release has incremental backup support, so if a repository doesn't change much it will not inflate the backups, regardless of how often it is backed up. Nevertheless, if you have compelling reasons for having per repository schedules you are welcome to submit a JIRA request. Yoav On Wed, Jun 11, 2008 at 2:01 AM, amlee <amlee@...> wrote:

Re: multiple backup schedulesThanks Yoav for the quick response. Thinking about this a little bit, I am wondering if there is a http url request (or a REST API) we can send to Artifactory to export a specific repository out to a zip file. We can set up a cron job to do the export for remote repositories once a month and leave the daily backup in Artifactory. If you know of such url request, please let me know.

Re: multiple backup schedulesWe really liked the idea of providing multiple backup schedules. It will be supported starting from the next 1.3.0 beta (1.3.0-beta3) and is already implemented in the trunk (http://www.jfrog.org/jira/browse/RTFACT-443).
REST API is also on our list, it'll just take some more time. HTH, Yoav On Wed, Jun 11, 2008 at 7:38 PM, amlee <amlee@...> wrote:
