which version of BDB can i use with magnolia 3.5.8?

1.0 doesnt seem to work... is this documentated anywhere?

INSTALL.TXT in the module bundle tells you to get BDB from
http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/berkeley-db/index.html
I don't see version 1.0 anywhere there. In general I suggest you use the
latest version.
Please note that at the moment using BDB will not give you any gains in
performance in comparison to say mysql. Since BDB is not officially
supported by JackRabbit anymore, sooner or later even Magnolia will stop
supporting it.

I've been using Berkeley DB Java Edition 3.2.44 w/jackrabbit-
bdb-1.3.3.  Obtaining the latter is a pain and when I asked the  
Jackrabbit guys why it's such a pain they suggested I use a bundle PM  
or become the maintainer of the Jackrabbit BDB project :)
