I don't know if this has been discussed here; or if it is restricted
to my platform (OpenBSD)? It is also pretty minor, but still, it bugs
me that /var/log/apcupsd.events has the shutdown messages as well as
errors and warnings:
Tue Jun 03 08:16:44 SGT 2008 Power failure.
Tue Jun 03 08:16:46 SGT 2008 Power is back. UPS running on mains.
Fri Jun 06 10:30:33 SGT 2008 apcupsd exiting, signal 15
Fri Jun 06 10:30:33 SGT 2008 apcupsd shutdown succeeded
while I have to consult /var/log/daemon for the startup:
Jun 6 10:31:44 mybox apcupsd[24755]: apcupsd 3.14.2 (15 September
2007) openbsd startup succeeded
Jun 6 10:31:44 mybox apcupsd[24755]: NIS server startup succeeded
I would know how to change these settings, if needed. And probably
there is a good reason for these defaults; but I personally would
rather have the events by default in a single location; and since we
have apcupsd.events, why not in there?
Thanks for a great piece of software!
Uwe
