Can't find it on the homepage or download page. Where is it?

Latest version I have is 0.1.347.

You should install jsLib from here though:

Thank you, Pete. I have added that information as well as copyright and
other disclaimers to our listings for jsLib.

The previous owner of the Mirror may not have obtained your
authorization for adding your extension to the forum. As its new owner,
it is my duty to ask. Do we have your blessing for these listings as
they are, or are other disclaimers or warnings needed? Please let us
serve you as an authorized mirror.

Jane

Also, do you have any plans for making jsLib available on Flock?

Jane

Ok, I added support for Flock to install.rdf:

    <!-- Flock -->
    <em:targetApplication>
      <Description>
        <em:id>{a463f10c-3994-11da-9945-000d60ca027b}</em:id>
        <em:minVersion>0.1</em:minVersion>
        <em:maxVersion>2.0.0.*</em:maxVersion>
      </Description>
    </em:targetApplication>

I pretty much guessed the version ...

So maybe someone can let me know if it doesn't install.

Someone told me that Flock 1.0 was the first version, and then they went
backward. The current public beta is 0.7.14. The current developer beta
is 0.8.0.99 (sulfur cormorant). What works on 0.7.x might not
necessarily work in 0.8.x. So I will test it in both. For min/max, some
authors use 0.4 - 1.5. I can only test on 0.7.14 and 0.8.0.99. Will get
back to you shortly with the results.

So are my jsLib listings on the Mirror OK? Do I have your authorization,
Pete? Or does something need to be added to them?

What is the "bumbed" version? I don't support any builds modified by a
3rd party of jsLib ...

Also you are serving up the xpi packaged w/ mime type "text/plain".

It should be:

  application/x-xpinstall         xpi

I do not understand what you mean by mime type "text/plain". I did not
change anything in the file that said that. If you give me an email
address that can accept attachments, I will email you a copy of the
install.rdf file so you can see the changes. I can zip it if you like.

The official builds, same as on your site, are listed first in my
official listings in the forum. And even before them are direct links to
your site and your copyright notice so that users and developers can
download the latest official version.

A "bumped" version means that the only changes to the extension/theme
are increasing maxVersion(s) in the install.rdf file.

A "modded" version means that there were other changes to the
install.rdf file or other files. In most of my mods, that means that one
or more additional applications were added to install.rdf. It is very
rare that I do anything with other files in the xpi/jar due to lack of
understanding them (I am not a coder or programmer), but the mod for
PlainOldFavorites is an exception -- and only because someone told me
exactly where to go and what to change. In the case of jsLib, adding
additional applications to install.rdf and increasing maxVersions were
the ONLY changes I made. The other files in your package were untouched.

My disclaimer for the bumped/modded versions was changed to include what
you just said.

***************************************************
WARNING: This bumped version is NOT supported by the author.
He will NOT support builds made or modified by a third party.
It is for testing purposes only. Download at your own risk!
****************************************************

And again at the very bottom of the listing with our seal is another
disclaimer.

AMI has requested approval from Pete Collins to mirror this add-on. Only
the official builds of jsLib are supported. Bumped and modified versions
are not supported.

Now that I know jsLib works in the other applications, I will remove the
bumped version and replace it with the modded one. The same disclaimers
apply, so users who download it and install know it will not be
supported and that they are on their own. Bumped/modded versions will
always appear AFTER the official versions, and we list who modified it
and exactly what was changed. Does this meet with your approval? I mean,
the rest of the listing is ok? The disclaimer and your copyright
information are sufficient? I would really like to get your blessing on
this. We have been mirroring jsLib on our site since 2004 and would like
to continue serving you as an authorized mirror.

Jane

Does this need to be added to both sections of the install.rdf file or
just the top section?

TOP SECTION
<!-- Target Application this extension can install into,
with minimum and maximum supported versions. -->

BOTTOM SECTION
<!-- Packages, Skins and Locales that this extension registers -->

I just added it to the TOP section only, and it works.  Other
Mozilla-based applications also work.

jsLib 0.1.352 changes to install.rdf:
- increased Firefox maxVersion to 3.0.*
- increased Thunderbird maxVersion to 3.0.*
- added Flock support 0.1 - 2.0.*
- added Sunbird support 0.3.1 - 0.6.*
- added Nvu support 1.0 - 1.1
- added Netscape support 9.0a1 - 9.1

jsLib-dependent add-ons tested:
- TagZilla 0.066 (modified same as jsLib)
- Launchy 4.2.0 (modified same as jsLib)

TEST RESULTS

Firefox 1.5.0.12 - PASSED
Firefox 2.0.0.4 - PASSED
Firefox 3.0a5 Gran Paradiso - PASSED
Firefox 3.0a6 Minefield - PASSED

Thunderbird 1.5.0.12 - PASSED
Thunderbird 2.0.0.4 - PASSED
Thunderbird 3.0a1 - PASSED

Sunbird 0.3.1 - PASSED
Sunbird 0.4a1 - PASSED
Sunbird 0.5rc1 - PASSED
Sunbird 0.6a1 - PASSED

Flock 0.7.14 - PASSED
Flock 0.8.0.99 Sulfur - PASSED

Netscape 9.0b1 - PASSED

Nvu 1.0 - PASSED

I hope this is helpful in your continuing development of jsLib.

Jane

I mean your server is serving the xpi files as text/plain, you need to add

  application/x-xpinstall         xpi

to your server mime types configuration ...

Thank you, Pete. I have forwarded that information to the webmaster. He
will take care of it.

The tech guy wants to know if we need to do the same thing for jar
files. If yes, what would he need to put on the server for those?

And he also wants to know if we need to do this on the forum only or on
both the forum and the wiki.

jsLib 0.1.352 also works with these other Mozilla-based applications:

eMusic DLM 4.0a1 - 4.0.*
Songbird 0.2 - 0.3.*
