Hello all,

I wonder if anybody managed to run jade on linux with remote container scenario.

If answer is yes, could you please tell me with which linux distro, jade and java version is it working?

I've tried tried lots of combinations (linux + jade + java) but all i got is RMI exceptions when trying to connect remote platform.

Thanks in advance.

no problem here with JADE 3.5 on Ubuntu 6, 7, 8 some Debian and SUSE
machines.

I have worked with RH and its derivatives CentOS & Fedora on pc's,
and Buildroot (compile from source code) on ARM cpus (Gumstix).
I have used Sun's jdk on pc's and JamVM and J9 on Gumstix.
All of those combinations work OK w/ JADE.

Note however that I am using the HTTP MTP for communication between
hosts. I chose that early on because it is simpler to allow one open port
(7778 by default). I had problems w/ RMI; maybe you can switch to HTTP
MTP (don't forget to modify firewalls as needed) and see if it works better.
