compiling tcl-8.5.2 on Solaris 9 withc gcc-4.2.2 and gnu ld...
From tcl.m4, it looks like this configuration, is not supported, as tcl.m4
assumes that the Sun linker will be used on Solaris. I patched tcl.m4 to meet
my needs, but the patch is no better, because it just turns the assumption
around. I'm interested in writing a better patch that will check which linker
is in use. Anyone thought about this, looked into what macros might be best to
use, or in general, how to handle the situation?
