external paging/internal sorting

This is my first post to this list.

First of all, I want to say that I am very impressed by the tag capabilities out the box. It was ridiculously easy to make it work with basic examples.

I want to know if it is possible to have external pagination and internal sorting that is done within page. I only care about sorting whatever user is seeing on the page.

I am having hard time accessing archives for the email list, so I apologize if this question has been answered before.

Thanks

Leonard Gestrin

This might be of some help depending on your architecture:

"pagingappfuse - Hibernate DisplayTag external paging and sorting in
Appfuse - Demo Project"
