Btw it failed on s390, so that'll need care before the transition can
happen.

Thanks. We found a work-around for what seems to be a g++ 4.3 bug on
s390. (More investigation on this g++ bug is still needed.)

I've just uploaded an NMU for diagnostics (see #489386) fixing the FTBFS
on s390.
