Unfortunately yes, pretty much. There's a batch-delete feature in the
works, but we don't have a specific release date for it yet. If you
don't mind waiting, that might be the best option.
But if you want it done now, here are some ideas. If you're a
programmer, you can use the API (
http://del.icio.us/help/api/) to
quickly delete a bunch of bookmarks. For non-programmers, there are a
few experimental, unendorsed services such as Scripted Re-Mark
(
http://ghill.customer.netspace.net.au/re-mark/).
