	<content type="html">I have created own repository using reprepro...hav added *.deb package to the repository and changed the sources.list but yet m getting the following error while apt-get update

&lt;br&gt;would only like people to 'consider' the effect that their work can have
&lt;br&gt;in fostering a wider view of humans beyond contentional steriotypes or
&lt;br&gt;maybe just providing options that allow the inclusion of
&lt;br&gt;non-white-males.

&lt;br&gt;wonderful reviews. But I am limited my question to Free Software and
&lt;br&gt;more specifically ones that have graphics that show avatars or
&lt;br&gt;representation of beings. And software is a place where things are far
&lt;br&gt;more easily changed than with a real world book publisher and the cost
&lt;br&gt;is only in terms of the software designers desire to alter perception.

&lt;br&gt;the gaming industry is that it was made by men and for men. As someone
&lt;br&gt;has previously mentioned, this is not the same as to say that we
&lt;br&gt;should enforce that every single game should be politically correct in
&lt;br&gt;every aspect. You don't usually go that far in your requests about a
&lt;br&gt;film or a book. What is important is the overall picture and the ideas
&lt;br&gt;and stereotypes transmitted by the whole of them. As Monique said:

&lt;br&gt;changed in the last couple of years.
&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Some months ago I read the book &amp;quot;Stardust&amp;quot;, by Neil Gaiman, and I
&lt;br&gt;really loved it, which bothered me a lot, because it repeats every
&lt;br&gt;single gender stereotype out there in fairy tales. I was really
&lt;br&gt;worried about it, I just couldn't understand why I loved that book, I
&lt;br&gt;shouldn't. But there was no point in denying that to myself, and I saw
&lt;br&gt;no benefits in trying to artificially force myself to dislike it, when
&lt;br&gt;my inner feelings told me to like it.
&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Anyway, the thing is that once talking about this with a friend of
&lt;br&gt;mine, who happens to be a very good psychologist, he told me that the
&lt;br&gt;story was not really about males and females, but about the archetypes
&lt;br&gt;that every single person has inside: Anima and Animus, Jungian
&lt;br&gt;archetypes for the female and male part in each of us. That was the
&lt;br&gt;reason I liked it, because the characters represented things that
&lt;br&gt;resounded against my inner feelings.
&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;After thinking about it under that new light, it stopped bothering me
&lt;br&gt;that the characters in the book were so obviously gender-stereotyped,
&lt;br&gt;because I didn't understand them to be describing real men and women
&lt;br&gt;in the world, and I found that I was capable of identifying myself
&lt;br&gt;with or against the different traits in all the characters
&lt;br&gt;irrespective of their gender.
&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;I don't know if it makes sense for anyone else than me, but it really
&lt;br&gt;doesn't me bother that much that same topic in a game. It bothers me
&lt;br&gt;much more, for example, the oversexuallized physical avatars
&lt;br&gt;representing women in the games (big breasts, few clothes, erotical
&lt;br&gt;postures, etc). Of course, it would be nicer if you could choose the
&lt;br&gt;gender of your player (remember the game gauntlet, for example? you
&lt;br&gt;could play with a female), but I wouldn't really start a war because
&lt;br&gt;of it.

&lt;br&gt;of sexism in daily life I actually never objected to having to play a

&lt;br&gt;whole &amp;quot;beach volleyball&amp;quot; stuff which is really just pathetic and some
&lt;br&gt;other things that are really just brain-dead and simply not appealing to
&lt;br&gt;me. But if a game is interesting &amp;nbsp;and fun to play I really don't care
&lt;br&gt;what kind of character I play.

&lt;br&gt;&amp;gt; variety of protagonists, we probably wouldn't be bothered by the few
&lt;br&gt;&amp;gt; that didn't. &amp;nbsp;One game having a male protagonist isn't a big deal;
&lt;br&gt;&amp;gt; (almost) all of them having a male protagonist is more problematic.
&lt;br&gt;&amp;gt; 
&lt;br&gt;&amp;gt; Then there is a question of how best to spend development time. &amp;nbsp;If
&lt;br&gt;&amp;gt; the game wasn't written to accomodate multiple protagonists, it may be
&lt;br&gt;&amp;gt; a large (and potentially tedious) effort to add them. &amp;nbsp;How many users,
&lt;br&gt;&amp;gt; potential or current, will benefit from the effort? &amp;nbsp;Can that even be
&lt;br&gt;&amp;gt; measured?
&lt;br&gt;&amp;gt; 
&lt;br&gt;&amp;gt; And what does it mean to have female protagonists? &amp;nbsp;Are the behaviors
&lt;br&gt;&amp;gt; exactly the same as the male protagonist, just with a different body?

&lt;br&gt;&amp;gt; resulting changes come across as realistic and correct, or patronizing

&lt;br&gt;&amp;gt; behavior based on the change. &amp;nbsp;In other words, it may be a bit empty
&lt;br&gt;&amp;gt; to suggest that the developers should make changes to their game just
&lt;br&gt;&amp;gt; in case some women would be more likely to play, or feel happier
&lt;br&gt;&amp;gt; playing a game they already play, or because in a nebulous way having
&lt;br&gt;&amp;gt; a female option would make all gamers more aware of gender issues.
&lt;br&gt;&amp;gt; Something more concrete, like &amp;quot;my daughter is interested in your game,
&lt;br&gt;&amp;gt; but is put off by the lack of a character with whom she can identify&amp;quot;?
&lt;br&gt;&amp;gt; Or even better, &amp;quot;I'm a man, but I like to play female characters
&lt;br&gt;&amp;gt; sometimes; I find that enhances the replayability of games for
&lt;br&gt;&amp;gt; me.&amp;quot; &amp;nbsp;I think some number of men might be tempted to submit a feature
&lt;br&gt;&amp;gt; request for an attractive female protagonist, in the case of a
&lt;br&gt;&amp;gt; non-first person view.

&lt;br&gt;&amp;gt; And of course, you have to be careful what you wish for =) &amp;nbsp;A lot of
&lt;br&gt;&amp;gt; female characters are portrayed in ways that m
