I don't know if you changed something but when I looked at the list of
my packages (packages I (co-)maintain) today I found just an incomplete
list. I have 37 source packages, but [1] just lists 12 or so.

I first thought, that the scripts maybe only parse the first line of the
uploaders field. But I checked someone else PTS page and there it works,
even if the person is listed in line 2 of an Uploaders field.

So: I have no idea, what went wrong here. It would be nice, if you could
be so kind to take a look at it.

Those reports was hosted on Ian "igloo" Lynagh account on p.d.o for a long time and I would like
to thanks him for this service.
But, IMHO, thoses graphs should be directly hosted on qa.debian.org machine to avoid
> thanks for alerting us of the problem. It was, in fact, an
> affecting the qa.debian.org host.

Since I didn't know what could be happening, I thought that it should be
>> I sponsor. Only a few of those are sponsored.
>>
>> On the other you have:
>>
>> Which only list packages I maintain, but doesn't show the sponsored
>> packages.
>>
>> Atleast the MIA database seems to know that kroeckx and kurt@...
>
> DDPO doesn't use carnivore to merge identities (unlike MIA).

Searching by name is also possible:
http://qa.debian.org/developer.php?login=Kurt+Roeckx

or if the search part is unique enough, something like this should also
work:
http://qa.debian.org/developer.php?login=Roeckx

e.g. in my case this is more than enough:
the maintainers will be able to help you and diagnose your problem.

* Nicola Canepa [Thu, 02 Oct 2008 10:51:03 +0200]:

> I uninstalled the package libdb-4.3, and I found that cyrus-imapd-2.2
> stopped working.
> The problem is that the package is not listed in the dependencies, so
> it is possible to break imapd.

> Is it possible to correct this problem?

> I use Debian etch, with some pieces from lenny, and version 2.2.13-10
> of cyrus-* packages (but the problem is present also in 2.2.13-14+b3)

I uninstalled the package libdb-4.3, and I found that cyrus-imapd-2.2
stopped working.
The problem is that the package is not listed in the dependencies, so
it is possible to break imapd.

Is it possible to correct this problem?

I use Debian etch, with some pieces from lenny, and version 2.2.13-10
of cyrus-* packages (but the problem is present also in 2.2.13-14+b3)

Thank you.
> The search / redirection
> http://packages.qa.debian.org/common/index.html
> points to may provide unexpected results in some cases.
>
> For example, put a single dot into the search box and submit the search.
>
> It looks like the rewrite rule is just a little bit too simple.

This appears to have been at least partly fixed; submitting a single
character simply causes the page to reload. One can still cause a
redirect loop by searching for "..", but it could be argued that's a
case of GIGO.

Hello,
since one can subscribe to packages he does not maintain via the DDPO bot,
it'd be useful to patch the DDPO page, since it actually lists the subscribed
packages in separate sections, but *keeps* packages in main/contrib/non-free in
their sections, not in the subscribed ones.

I'm attaching two patches fixing this behaviour:

1) developer_top.wml.patch -- this puts the subscribed sections at the top of
the page, thus moving main/contrib/non-free at the end of the page;

2) developer_bottom.wml.patch -- this one leaves the order as-is, and thus
needs some more control on what packages are being displayed in
main/contrib/non-free (thus, it's a bigger patch).

Kindly,

Package: qa.debian.org
Severity: wishlist
Tags: patch

Hello,
since one can subscribe to packages he does not maintain via the DDPO bot,
it'd be useful to patch the DDPO page, since it actually lists the subscribed
packages in separate sections, but *keeps* packages in main/contrib/non-free in
their sections, not in the subscribed ones.

I'm attaching two patches fixing this behaviour:

1) developer_top.wml.patch -- this puts the subscribed sections at the top of
the page, thus moving main/contrib/non-free at the end of the page;

2) developer_bottom.wml.patch -- this one leaves the order as-is, and thus
needs some more control on what packages are being displayed in
main/contrib/non-free (thus, it's a bigger patch).

Kindly,
David
> > > > which are affected to 2 or more packages (select count(*) from bugs
> > > > where package like '%,%').
> > > >
> > > > One possibility would be to keep the package/source columns in bugs, but
> > > > add tables with (id, package) and (id, source). That way, people not
> > > > interested in this case can join the additional table, while others can
> > > > just ignore it. It would only increase a bit the time needed to import
> > > > the bugs (about half an hour currently, only I/O bound).
> > >
> > > I was thinking about adding the bug two times in the bugs table.
> >
> > That's quite dirty, as it would cause the other information to be
> > duplicated as well (e.g a "bugs per submitter" query). Also, it would
> > require changing the primary key for the bugs table (it's the id,
> > currently).
>
> Each solution has it's advantages and disadvantes. And it mostly comes
> down on how far you want to normalize your data. And I'm actually in
> favour of normalizing the data, and have no problems writing such complex
> queries. But it's not always easy to get those right.
>
> We currently already process some of the data before it gets stored
> in the database to make the queries easier to write and mostly
> faster to execute. And I'm not sure what the best way to go is.

I've added bugs_packages and archived_bugs_packages tables, but left the
package and source columns in bugs. So you can use the tables if you
want the "enhanced" precision, or the bugs fields if you don't care ;)

I've haven't updated the views to use them, since there's no data in the
tables atm.
require changing the primary key for the bugs table (it's the id,
currently).

Hello Amos,

> Since the Lenny freeze or move of people.debian.org. The popularity
> contest current ratings tables links are all dead (404 Not Found).

Thanks for your report!

> The graphing previously happened under
> http://people.debian.org/~igloo/popcon-graphs/* and may have moved or died.

> Whichever it is, the table displays graph links at

These are not hosted by us on popcon.debian.org. I am CCing the relevant
people.

Maybe we need to move popcon.debian.org to raven, especially if gluck
become restricted. Developers should be allowed to look at the raw
results.

Cheers,
