corrupt project, plea for helpHi All,
I've posted this error to the list before with not much response. I've also reported it as a bug to Fedora, since I'm using their build of Ardour. I now have two Ardour sessions that will not open. These are projects that I have spent a lot of time on and really don't want to loose. The recordings are very important to me. Anyways... I don't know what is appropriate to ask but I will say that (current problems aside) I love using Ardour. I am willing to pay somebody or make a donation to Ardour if I can get some help with this. If there is any way for me to get these sessions to open I would love to know. The error I get in the terminal window when i try to open the session is: Pango-ERROR **: Unable to open font file /usr/share/fonts/dejavu/DejaVuSans.ttf for font DejaVu Sans 9.9990234375, exiting aborting... I checked for this file and it seems to be there: $ ls -l /usr/share/fonts/dejavu/DejaVuSans.ttf -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 570468 2007-09-18 19:18 /usr/share/fonts/dejavu/DejaVuSans.ttf When this problem first occurred, it was intermittent. I could retry opening the session and it would open. But now I get the error every time. Could someone please advise me on what is the best route to take towards getting these sessions to open? Thanks so much, Francis ardour-users@... _______________________________________________ Ardour-Users mailing list ardour-users@... http://lists.ardour.org/listinfo.cgi/ardour-users-ardour.org |

Re: corrupt project, plea for helpHi Francis,
could this be a permission problem on the fonts as mentioned here (Ardour unrelated, though): http://forum.linspire.com/viewtopic.php?t=427624&sid=1601b1c1521c1a30fe9067b6901e4e8f Cheers, Mats francis keyes schrieb, Am 15.07.2008 00:17: > Hi All, > > I've posted this error to the list before with not much response.
