compatibility error (from GRAMPS 2.2.9 to 3.0.0-2)

Hi All,

    I've created my family tree on version 2.2.9, but when I tried to import it I got error message as following:

52312: ERROR: dbloader.py: line 306: Failed to import database.
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "C:\Program Files\gramps\DbLoader.py", line 296, in do_import
    self.uistate.pulse_progressbar)
  File "C:\Program Files\gramps\GrampsDbUtils\_ReadXML.py", line 104, in importData
    version_is_valid(xml_file, cl) is False:
  File "C:\Program Files\gramps\GrampsDbUtils\_ReadXML.py", line 2402, in version_is_valid
    parser = VersionParser(filename)
  File "C:\Program Files\gramps\GrampsDbUtils\_ReadXML.py", line 2340, in __init__
    self.__p.ParseFile(xml_file)
ExpatError: not well-formed (invalid token): line 1, column 0


Could you help me?

You did not say in which version you import.
You should send bugs to the bug list, not here on the user list.

Note that version 2.2.9 had a serious error when opening directly xml files, so only import them there and keep your backups close if you use 2.2.9
