bus_idle in can

Hi all
In can receiver sampling point should be generated continuously or at
the start of the frame.

I have thought to generate sample pulse continuously, so that I can
monitor the bus like how many one's I have received depending upon that
I can issue bus_idle signal as one.

Is it right or wrong? please any one of u tell me

Dear sir,

It is precisely defined when bit sample should take place. This depends
on the time quanta set up. In general, in terms of understanding, it
takes place between Phase Segement 1 and Phase Segment 2. In detail, in
terms of implementation, it is very precisely specified as part of the
CAN specification you will receive, when you buy a license from Bosch.

It is also precisely defined when synchronization should take place. In
general, in terms of understanding, synchronization should take place on
any recessive-dominant edge. In detail, in terms of implementation, it
is very precisely specified as part of the CAN specification you will
receive, when you buy a license from Bosch.
