Hello all,
On my PowerPC Mac, SWI-Prolog v5.6.52 ran XPCE under X11 v2.1.4
without problems.
But when I installed X11 v2.2, a serious font problem appeared.
"Helvetica bold" appears as a few smudges in the XPCE Font Viewer.
This makes XPCE unusable. As a workaround, I've redefined
display.system_fonts in a way that avoids Helvetica, but this isn't
very satisfactory.
The problem might be specific to my Mac (I've had X11 font problems
before now).
Can PPC Mac users on this list tell me whether X11 2.2 runs XPCE
correctly on their machines, please?
I tried reinstalling X11 v2.1.4, but strangely the font problem
remained. I've also tried the latest v2.2.0.1 release -- still the
same problem.
