XML Output for Entry Only

I am looking to persistently store an entry ONLY in XML format (long term storage of the feed).  Is there a method that allows me to output the XML in the desired format for just an entry?

I am interested in this too. I have implemented my own db system for doing this, but it certainly is not as good as xml storage.

No, there’s not.

 

This has come up before a couple of times, but because there is no concept of a standalone RSS entry there isn’t a XML form for it.

 

(I think there was some talk of being able to represent Atom entries individually, but I didn’t follow it too much. Someone else may know the status of that)
