Hi all,
As you may know OSGi is a dynamic module system for Java that is
already (or is rapidly becoming) the foundation of many Java
platforms (Eclipse Equinox/RCP, JOnAS, Spring DM, Websphere,
Glassfish v3, etc...)
An OSGi bundle is packaged as a regular jar file with additional
unobtrusive entries in its manifest.
Have you considered making the official Woodstox jars a valid OSGi
component (by adding OSGi headers to the manifest)?
For those interested in having woodstox as an OSGi bundle, I opened a
JIRA "wish" issue to "OSGify" woodstox, with an attached OSGi-
compliant MANIFEST.MF that can already be used for 3.9.2.

Some tools can help to create the manifest such as the excellent bnd
by Peter Kriens (available as command line, ant task or integrated
into maven)

Regards (and thanks for the brilliant woodstox development!)
Romain Deltour.
