WingIDE for MacOS crashes on launch

[sparklight]

Tried to get Wing running on my Mac for the first time.  Evaluating  
for purchase.

1. Installed X11 server, version 1.1, from my MacOS 10.4 disk.
2. Installed WingIDE, version 3.1.3

Crashes on launch, 2-5 seconds in, before any windows appear.  Very  
reproducible.

Does it crash if X11 is running before Wing is started?  A workaround is
to run 'sh WingIDE.app/Contents/MacOS/run-wing.sh' from a terminal.

fwiw, i am running 3.1.3-1 (rev 18566) on Mac OS X version 10.4.11 and it launches without issues for me (with or without X11 already running).  i do sort of remember installing some sort of upgrade/patch from apple for X11.  if you are not already running X11 1.1.3, you will want this patch http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/x11update2006113.html

Does it crash if X11 is running before Wing is started?  A workaround is
