Jsecurity allows new realms to be swapped in so yes this is possible
although we don't have a realm for this as part of the Nexus bundle. They do
have some LDAP realms that I know of.
Getting the Windows credentials on the Maven side is a totally separate
issue. It is possible but would require a custom wagon that pulled the
credentials from windows instead of the settings file. I know of one user
that hacked up the wagon to get Kerberos information but it leveraged
commercial algorithm implementations so it's not oss.

Is it possible to have nexus use Windows NTLM credentials to
authenticate a user? We do not want to have Nexus specific user /
passwords and we don't want to use LDAP as that would require storing
the passwords in cleartext into the maven settings.xml. Please correct
