Wilwood Callipers - Do I need a smaller master cylinder?

Hi

I have replaced the old M16 front callipers on my Fury with some Wilwood 4
pot ones.  All plumbed in nicely and bled, but now I need to apply a
tremendous amount of pedal pressure to get them to work properly.  In fact I
think my foot would force itself through the bulkhead before the fronts
would actually lock!

Has anyone gone this route before, and can they advise whether the problem
is likely to be with the ¾” master cylinder I’m using?  (which was fine with
the original M16s)

Thanks

Les

Strange, I have the opposite condition on my Radical with 3/4 MC and
Wilwoods.  The pedal has quite a lot of movement.  It all works very
well, but I would prefer a firmer pedal.  In the radical, it uses 2 MC's
with a balance bar (one for the front and one for the back).  That
probably makes a difference.

I have replaced M16's on my ST Locoblade with wilwoods and, having a split front rear found problems - what cylinder set-up do you have?  mine has a similar setup to Graham's and with a quick bias tweak it was fine

I have escort drums on the back, and 2 x 3/4" master cylinders with a
balance bar.

The balance bar had actually been roll pinned to prevent adjustment
(presumably for the SVA - I'm the 2nd owner).

I removed the pins but was unable to move the bias bar any further towards
front bias - it was already there, so adjustment there is not an option.

That's why I'm hoping and assuming that a .625" (front) master cylinder will
allow me to get some movement on the fronts, and maybe even get the bias bar
into a central-ish position.

Thanks all for the help so far!

Les
