When does scim call the panel process?

Hi,
I want to know how scim communicate with the panel, and which code
implement these communication. I want to compile the scim without the
panel.Can anyone please suggest how to do it?

You can try configuring with build with --disable-panel-gtk but I think
it is "unsupported" or rather noone has tested it for a long time.
