Voda UK - download of JAD files has suddenly stopped working!

Hi,

Is anyone else getting this problem. When I try and download OTA using a Voda UK SIM I'm getting 'unsupported file type' type messages. It's happening across a number of handsets. Orange SIMs are fine on the same file. I haven't changed any server config and I just checked with a proxy and the MIME type being sent for the JAD is still correct...

Weird!

You can try www.betavine.net - it's VF's R&D department. They have a test deployment server. You can also ask questions in their forums. I know VF folks are reading the forums.

yuk, that sounds horrible, I hope it's not deliberate. Why is it always
Vodafone who blocks random stuff without any notice?

You might get some info by posting on the momolondon yahoo group, that's
read by a lot of mobile content providers (plus the occaisional vodafone
employee) who would probably be having the same issue.

You could also try wmlprogramming yahoo group although it tends to be more
mobile web rather than downloads

it says that Novarra have recently updated the proxy server and that might
be causing some issues that they're looking in to.

Sorry - I missed this message, I never did find out what the problem  
was and haven't checked for a while. I've had reports that it still  
seems to be flaky...
