Man have I told you how bad I hate dogs that are left out to terrorize cyclist!! Today a friend of mine who I have been trying to get into cycling went out on a 25 mile ride when we went past this house and we seen a dog on our left start to come out but not fast enough to catch us when just ahead of us another more aggressive sob came out at a sprinters pace and ran right in front of my buddy causing him to crash(on the bike Ijust loaned him) he had pretty bad road rash and I had several good words for the dogs owner after I got done throwing rocks (at the dog) and letting the owner know this his dog should either be trained to stay in the yard or fenced in the yard. I will probably feel bad for the way I talked to the dogs owner later but right now I'm still furious (heck I dont think I can spell either), it must be the redneck vocabulary I have been using. Well anyway thanks for letting me vent and thank you taking the time to read this.
Thanks for the call, I tried to call you back but no answer. Unfortunately I have to work periodically this weekend...I thought I might have time on Saturday for a long ride but it turns out Sunday is more flexible...I originally thought I would have more time on Saturday mid morning but my schedule for the weekend changed this afternoon.
The cross ride situation is in a bit of flux. Unfortunately, the folks that own and run Centennial Park saw the post on the Biketown Blog and are not too keen on a group ride there. I still want to personally meet with the coordinator but it doesn't presently look good. I have some other venues in mind but I may need to change the day/time of the ride to the weekend for those areas.

To get in more miles in less heat, and by popular demand, the Saturday rides will begin @ 7am @ VT Bike Stuff. For those that are not going to the Peach Pedal, we will leave the shop, head to Buffalo Gap, then ride the 48 mile course and head back to the shop. There will be some riders that will peel off for a shorter distance and slower pace, and some may complete the whole 70 mile route.

Next weekend, we several riders heading to the MS 150 in Midland... inquire @ VT Bike Stuff if you'd like to participate, or sponsor some of the riders.
