VMware ESX problemOn the Linux server with Raid HP Smart Array P800 we use the iSCSI Enterprise Target version 0.4.15. The VMware ESX Server, on which the Linux servers are activated, is connected to it.
During the standard use of the system. all the systems on VMware ESX stopped responding. We assume, that it is conneced with the aggravated Raid. Do you happen to know whether there is any patch to it?? Or any other solutions how to overcome this problem?? What do you mean by "aggravated Raid"? I assume you mean aggregated RAID? Meaning all luns are on the same RAID array? If that's the case then it shouldn't cause the problems you are seeing as that is merely a performance based recommendation. Let us know the hardware on both sides of the setup and in the middle (switches). Initially this points to network interruptions which are causing sessions to be dropped. It could be a hardware failure on the storage side too, but network problems are more common so should be addressed first. -Ross ______________________________________________________________________ This e-mail, and any attachments thereto, is intended only for use by the addressee(s) named herein and may contain legally privileged and/or confidential information.
