Using parts from Trails

Hi list.

Is it possible and reasonable to reduce the full stack of Trails, e.g.
for creating a web interface to an existing service. For an examples
sake, let's assume I wanted to code yet another web based subversion
repository viewer.

Would Trails still be a good choice, or should I rather use Trails'
components (i.e. Tapestry and Spring) directly?

Kind regards,
Daniel

Hi Daniel

Yes it's possible and reasonable. But IMO Trails will give you very
little value if you need to implement a subversion repository viewer.

Hello, Alejandro.

Thank you once again for your responsiveness.

The subversion repository viewer was only an example. So I'll book that
under "possible and reasonable" but our company should check the needs
appropriately before deciding to go for Trails.

After all there is no silver bullet. I personally have the feeling, that
Trails works well for standalone web applications. At least that's what
I am going to write in my evaluation summary for now.

Thanks a lot for your patience and reponsiveness!

Kind reagrds,
Daniel
