Using eXist for Commercial purposesAll,
We are currently evaluating XML databases for a commercial product. I was wondering if anyone could tell me if you are currently using eXist for this purpose in a production environment? We are hoping to find an open source database with an active community and a good user base. Re: Using eXist for Commercial purposesSure eXist is used in plenty of production environments by different people.
I used it for my last employer to create this (there is also an admin side written in xquery and xforms that you cant see) - http://www.devonline.gov.uk/community/ Also see here (just a few that we know of) - http://demo.exist-db.org/apps/applications.xml In terms of the community, you are probably best checking out the traffic on the mailing list.
