I am running an intranet application (uncompiled) using 4D Server 2004.6
on a Windows 2003 Dell Server with about 1400 users. 4D Client is only
used for administrative purposes. The application relies heavily on the
integration features of 4D (SOAP, ODBC, SMTP, HTTP, document handling).
Lately, I have been experiencing frequent application crashes that begin
with the creation of massive (1 to 2 GB) userdump files in the
Windows\PCHEALTH\ErrorRep\userdumps folder. The application hangs while
these files (filename.MDMP file & filename.HDMP File) are getting
generated, culminating in a hard crash. Supposedly, these userdumps
were intended to replace the method of error reporting produced by good
ol' Dr. Watson. Has anyone else experienced these types of errors and
is familiar with what causes them, and how they can be prevented?
Thanks for any assistance,
