Used motorcycle cost dataA bit off-topic, but does anyone know of a source for price trend data
for used motorcycles? Anecdotal evidence suggests that prices for small-displacement bikes and scooters have increased over the past six months, when compared to similar models a year ago, but I was wondering if there was any data that would back up this trend. I've looked at sources like CycleTrader.com to see what current prices are, and although they have a tab labeled Research, it seems to be geared towards new motorcycles. Thanks for any leads! www.kbb.com Kelly Blue Book www.nada.com NADA www.mcnews.com Motorcycle Consumer News Those are what I use when I'm researching relative costs for used bikes. Re: Used motorcycle cost dataI've not found any of those terribly reliable for the real world of
haggle-nomics. Ebay is probably a better indicator of what real buyers are paying and what real sellers are willing to accept. The eBay search engines are really quite sophisticated and you can search closed auctions up to 90 days old.
